VERY IMPORTANT: New printers are sold with starter cartridges that do not have a reset gear and, therefore, cannot be reset. There are two options if you want to refill starter cartridges. You can either purchase a set of reset gears separately (available for some models only) or you can access your printer's reset menu. See how to access the reset menu on your Brother printer. Therefore, if you will be refilling your starter cartridges, please ensure that the reset gear is available for your model or that your printer will allow you to access the reset menu before placing your order.
